About Silly Sausage

Silly Sausage puts you in charge of a dog who can't walk a step — instead, his whole body stretches like elastic in whichever direction you push, latching onto the nearest surface and pulling the rest of him along. Getting anywhere means aiming that stretch precisely: reach too far into open space and there's nothing to grab onto, reach into a hazard and the run ends there.

Across 30 short levels the goal is always the same: collect every gem before you're allowed to stretch toward the exit. Blades swing, fireballs arc, bubbles drift and spike diamonds sit in wait, and since your body is fully exposed while it's stretched out, timing a reach around them matters more than speed.

Controls

Arrow keys or WASD. Hold a direction to stretch the dog's front half that way while his back half stays anchored — once the front catches a surface, the rest of his body snaps forward to catch up.

Tips

  • Stretch in short bursts through hazard-heavy stretches rather than holding the key down — the longer your body is extended, the more of it is exposed to blades and spikes.
  • Grab every gem in a level before angling toward the exit; the exit won't open until they're all collected.
  • Aim for open floor or a wall you can actually latch onto — stretching into a dead corner just leaves you stuck mid-air.

It's a quick, hazard-timing puzzle-platformer best played in short bursts — a level or two at a time rather than one long session.

Silly Sausage FAQ

How do I move in Silly Sausage?
Hold an arrow key or WASD in the direction you want to stretch. Your dog's back half stays planted while the front stretches out until it grabs a surface, then the rest of his body snaps forward to catch up.
What happens if I hit a blade, fireball or spike?
The run ends immediately and the level restarts from the beginning — your stretched-out body has no protection against hazards.
Do I have to collect every gem in a level?
Yes. Each of the 30 levels only opens its exit once all of that level's gems have been collected.
Is Silly Sausage hard to learn?
The stretch-and-latch control is simple to pick up in the first level, but later levels demand precise timing around moving hazards, so difficulty ramps up steadily.
