Petnest.io comes from Vectaria, the studio behind MineFun.io, Cryzen.io and Vectaria.io, and it swaps the usual .io combat formula for something calmer: a small 3D pet-care world you walk around in first person, rather than a menu-driven idle screen. You feed and look after a growing group of pets, and the space they live in grows along with them.
Care for your pets and you earn currency for it, which goes toward decorating and expanding their habitat. Eggs turn up at a kindergarten area on the map — collect and hatch them to add new pets to your collection over time. You can play the whole loop solo, or drop into the same space as friends in multiplayer, and it runs in the browser on desktop, phone or tablet.
Controls
- WASD or arrow keys to move
- Hold right-click to look around
- E to interact
- Shift to sprint
Tips
- Keep up with feeding and caring for your pets regularly — it's the main way you earn currency to spend elsewhere.
- Check the kindergarten area for eggs often; hatching them is how your collection actually grows.
- Put spare currency into decorating and expanding the habitat rather than letting it sit unused.
- Play with friends in multiplayer if you want company — it's built to support both solo and shared sessions.
It suits players who enjoy low-key pet and sim games — checking in, tending a small collection, and watching it grow over repeated sessions rather than chasing a high score.
