About Goose Game

Goose Game is a digital version of one of the oldest board games in the world: The Game of the Goose. Two to four players take turns rolling a single die and racing tokens along a 63-square spiral track, aiming to be the first to land exactly on the final square.

The board is full of special squares that shove the race off its straight line. Land on a goose square or the bridge and you jump forward and roll again. The well and the prison trap you until a rival player lands there too and frees you. The house costs three turns, the maze sends you back to square 39, and the skull drags you all the way back to square 1. Rolling a 9 on your very first throw wins the game outright, and if the last two players end up stuck in the well and the prison at the same time with nobody left to rescue them, the game simply ends.

Controls

Everything is played with the mouse (or a tap on touchscreens) — click the dice to roll, click through the menus to pick your player count and token colour.

Who it suits

It's a short, luck-driven party game rather than a test of skill, best played with someone else sharing the screen for a few quick rounds. Games played and games won are tracked locally, so you can see your record build up over repeat sessions.

How many players can play Goose Game?

What happens if I land on the goose or bridge squares?

You advance again by the same number you just rolled, so those squares let you skip ahead faster than a normal turn.

What happens if I get stuck in the well or the prison?

You stay there until another player's token lands on the same square and frees you — if you're the last two players in the game, that can end it with no winner.

Do I need anything other than a mouse to play?

No. Every action, from rolling the dice to picking your player count and colour, is done with mouse clicks or taps.
