About Apple Worm

Apple Worm is a small, sharp puzzle game with a snake twist: you guide a green worm around a cramped level, and every apple it eats makes it one segment longer. That growth is the whole puzzle — a longer worm can bridge bigger gaps and reach higher ledges, but it also gets harder to steer without curling back onto itself or sliding off the edge, which restarts the level instantly.

None of the 30 levels are large, but each one is built around a specific trick: an apple placed just out of reach until you've grown enough, or a stretch where extra length becomes a liability instead of a help. Runs are short, so most of the challenge is thinking a few moves ahead before committing to a direction.

Controls

  • W, A, S, D — move the worm (on-screen buttons on touch devices)

Tips

  • Plan your route to the exit before eating every apple in sight — a worm that's too long can trap itself in a tight level.
  • Falling off the level fails it instantly, so slow down near edges rather than committing to a fast move.
  • The first few levels are unlocked from the start, but the final level only opens once every level is cleared.

It's a good fit for quick, focused sessions rather than long play — a handful of levels at a time is usually plenty.

Apple Worm FAQ

How do you control the worm in Apple Worm?
Use W, A, S, D to move, or the on-screen directional buttons on phones and tablets.
What happens when I eat an apple?
The worm grows by one segment, which lets it reach further but also makes it easier to trap itself in tight spaces.
What happens if the worm falls off the level?
The level ends immediately and restarts, so careful movement near edges matters more than speed.
How many levels does Apple Worm have?
There are 30 levels; the first few are open from the start, and the final level unlocks only after clearing all the others.
