About YoHoHo.io

YoHoHo.io drops you on the water with a small pirate ship and one goal: survive and end up the biggest, richest crew on the map. You start weak, so the early game is about hunting treasure chests and staying clear of anyone bigger than you.

Every chest you collect grows your ship and unlocks stronger attacks, which is what turns this into a battle royale rather than just a collecting game — as your ship gets bigger you start picking fights with players to sink them and grab whatever doubloons and loot they were carrying. Bigger ships hit harder but are also a bigger target, so knowing when to fight and when to run is most of the skill.

Controls

  • Keyboard: WASD or arrow keys to steer, Space to attack. Hold the attack key to charge a dash attack that deals more damage and closes distance fast.
  • Mouse: move the cursor to steer, click to attack. Holding the click also charges the dash attack.
  • Mobile: drag with one finger to steer, tap with a second finger to attack — hold it down to charge the same dash attack.

Tips

  • Stick to the edges of the map early on, where there's less competition for chests.
  • Don't charge a dash attack against a much bigger ship — you'll close the distance right into a fight you can't win.
  • Use your dash to disengage as much as to attack; it covers ground quickly either way.
