Twin Shot 2 is a bow-and-arrow platformer from Nitrome starring a pair of angel cats who fight their way through a cloud kingdom under siege. Arrows are your only tool: shoot enemies to clear a path, or fire one straight into a wall to plant it as a temporary foothold, then jump up onto it to reach the next ledge.

That double use of the arrow is the whole game. Levels constantly ask you to decide whether the shot in front of you is for killing something or for climbing over it, and the best runs chain kills and arrow-platforms together without breaking stride. There are 150 single-player levels in total, plus a free "Good and Evil" expansion that adds a separate set of levels once you've cleared the main game.

Tips

• An arrow fired into a bare wall sticks around just long enough to jump off — use it to bridge gaps rather than only saving arrows for enemies.
• Flying enemies are more dangerous left alive than shot, since they can knock you off a platform mid-jump — clear them before lining up a tricky arrow-jump.
• The game supports a local two-player mode, so a second player can join in on the same keyboard for co-op runs.
