Temple of Boom is a fast-paced retro platform shooter developed by Colin Lane. Set in a series of ancient, trap-filled temples, your goal is to survive waves of deadly monsters, mummies, and giant spiders. The game can be played entirely solo or cooperatively with a friend in two-player mode, making it a chaotic test of reflexes and quick thinking as you fight to secure the high score.
Each session is an intense battle of movement and inventory management. You start with a basic pistol, but weapon chests drop throughout the arena, letting you upgrade to shotguns, grenade launchers, and laser blasters. Surviving requires constant mobility—jumping between platforms to escape enemy fire while watching out for spikes and environmental hazards. The tight platforming physics and punchy retro pixel art combine to make every run feel quick and addictive.

Tips and Strategy
- Always Keep Moving: Standing still in Temple of Boom is a quick path to defeat. Use your double jump to clear groups of enemies and stay above the action where you have more room to maneuver.
- Control the Chests: Treasure chests spawn regularly and contain powerful weapons. Grab them as soon as they appear, but be careful not to get cornered by monsters waiting near the spawn points.
- Conserve Special Ammo: While heavy weapons like the rocket launcher deal massive damage, their ammunition is highly limited. Save your heavy firepower for larger waves or tougher boss monsters.
- Cooperate in Duo Mode: If you are playing with a friend, divide and conquer. One player can focus on drawing enemy attention while the picks off monsters from a distance with high-damage weapons.
