Tank Trouble 2 drops you into a boxed-in maze with a tank, a limited turning radius, and a shell that keeps bouncing off walls until it hits something. That last part is the whole game: because shots ricochet, you're constantly aiming around corners, banking a shot off two walls to catch someone hiding in a dead end, and flinching every time your own fire comes back around at you.
Play solo against an AI opponent or drop in a second and third local player for hot-seat matches on the same keyboard. Rounds are short and matches usually run best-of-several, with power-ups scattered through the maze that hand out temporary upgrades like faster shells, rapid fire, or a wider spread. The tight corridors mean fights rarely last long, but a bad ricochet can turn a winning position into a loss in one shot.
Controls
Each player drives with their own set of keys, and Player 1 defaults to the arrow keys for movement. Exact key bindings for every player (movement and firing) are shown and can be changed from the in-game settings menu before a match starts.
Tips
- Don't fire down a straight corridor at close range — your own shell can ricochet back into you before it reaches anyone.
- Use dead ends to your advantage: an opponent chasing you into one has to either close the distance or take a wall shot.
- Grab power-ups even if you don't need them yet — denying them to the players matters as much as using them.
- Against the AI, sit near a corner rather than the open middle of the maze; it gives you more angles to bank a shot off of.
It's a quick pick-up game built for a couch or a shared keyboard — best with two or three people in the room, though the single-player AI holds up fine for a few rounds on your own.
