About Tag

TAG takes the schoolyard game of tag and turns it into a couch platformer: one player starts as "it" and has to catch someone else before the round timer runs out. Get tagged and the roles flip instantly — now you're the one being chased.

Rounds are fast and chaotic in a good way. Everyone runs, jumps and dodges across the same screen, using bounce pads and teleporters scattered around the level to escape a chaser or cut off an escape route. Whoever is still "it" when the clock hits zero loses the round, so the last few seconds tend to get frantic.

Controls

It's built for 2-4 players sharing one keyboard:

  • Player 1: W / A / D
  • Player 2: Up / Left / Right arrow keys
  • Player 3: J / I / L
  • Player 4: F / T / H

Tips

  • Change direction suddenly rather than running in a straight line — a sharp turn or a surprise jump makes you much harder for the chaser to predict.
  • Learn where the bounce pads and teleporters are on each map; they're usually the difference between escaping and getting tagged in the last few seconds.

It suits a group in the same room more than solo play — pull up one screen, hand out the keyboard zones, and play a few short rounds.

Tag FAQ

How many players can play TAG at once?
Up to 4 players on the same keyboard, each with their own set of movement keys.
What are the controls for each player?
Player 1 uses W/A/D, Player 2 uses the arrow keys, Player 3 uses J/I/L, and Player 4 uses F/T/H.
How do you win a round?
You just need to avoid being the player marked "it" when the round timer hits zero — tag someone else to pass that role along.
Can you play it solo?
It's designed around local multiplayer chasing, so it's best with at least one other person sharing the keyboard.
