Sugar Eyes is a drag-and-drop merge puzzle built around a grid of round, googly-eyed candy pieces. Each turn hands you a small cluster of one or two pieces to place; drop matching pieces next to each and they merge into a bigger candy, clearing space and adding to your score.
The board fills up fast if you place carelessly, so most of a session is spent reading the grid a move ahead: where a merge will open a gap, and where it will box you in. Chaining several merges in a row builds a combo multiplier, and every so often a bomb piece appears that clears a whole cluster at once when it goes off.
Controls
- Click and drag a piece to move it onto the board
- Release over an open cell to drop it
- Tap the piece before dropping it to rotate a two-piece cluster
Tips
- Don't rush a placement just to clear your hand — an awkward drop can block a merge you'd otherwise get next turn
- Chain merges into each rather than clearing them one at a time; combos are worth more than the same merges done separately
- Keep at least one open lane free at all times so a bad draw doesn't fill the board
It's a short-session puzzle game — easy to pick up for a few rounds between things, with your best score saved in the browser so you can try to beat it next time.
