Stacktris is a physics-based stacking game where you build the tallest tower possible out of tetromino blocks. Unlike traditional puzzle games where rows disappear, here you must carefully balance each falling block to keep your tower steady. A single piece tumbling off the platform ends the run, making balance and precision critical.
Developed by Martin Magni on the Fancade platform, the game puts a fresh spin on block placement. As you climb higher, the platform wobbles and blocks rotate faster, turning a simple stacking challenge into a tense test of physics and timing.
Controls
- Stop Rotation: Click and hold (or tap and hold on mobile) to stop the tetromino block from spinning.
- Nudge/Move: Drag your cursor left and right (or swipe on mobile) to position the block. On PC, you can also use the A / D keys or Left / Right Arrow keys to adjust the block's position before dropping.
- Drop Block: Release the mouse button (or lift your finger) to drop the block onto the platform.
Gameplay Tips
- Stack Centered: Keep the center of gravity in the middle of the platform. Building a wide, centered base makes the tower much more resistant to wobbling.
- Collect Coins for Upgrades: Spend the coins you collect on valuable upgrades like Wide Table (increases the size of the base), Slow Spin (reduces the rotation speed), or High Friction (makes blocks less slippery).
- Patience is Key: Don't rush your drops. The blocks rotate continuously, so wait for the perfect alignment before letting go.
Stacktris is perfect for quick gaming sessions, offering simple mechanics that are easy to learn but hard to master. Whether you want to beat your personal best or buy all the table and friction upgrades, it delivers highly addictive arcade fun right in your web browser.
