About Spot the Differences

Spot the Differences puts two nearly identical illustrations side by side and asks a simple question: what changed? Fairy-tale scenes, plates of food, and busy street corners each hide a handful of small edits — a missing button, a repositioned lamp, a color swapped a shade darker — and the job is to click on the picture wherever you spot one.

Each level gives three lives, so a wrong click costs something. Differences aren't laid out in any obvious order, and later scenes cram detail into busy backgrounds where a change can hide in a shadow or a texture. There's no clock forcing hasty guesses, so it stays a slow, careful kind of game rather than a reflex test.

Controls

Point and tap. Click or tap directly on a difference when you find one; a zoom control lets you get closer to any part of the image, and a hint button will nudge you toward one you're stuck on. It runs entirely on mouse or touch, on desktop, phone, and tablet — no keyboard needed.

Tips

  • Zoom into busy or shadowed corners of the image before assuming they're clear — edits hide in texture-heavy areas more often than in open space.
  • Scan in a fixed pattern, top-left to bottom-right, instead of jumping around — it stops you rechecking the same spot while missing another.
  • Save the hint button for a level where you've already found most of the differences and are stuck on the last one; it's more useful late than early.

Good for a slower, low-pressure session — the kind of game to open between things rather than one built around fast reflexes.

Spot the Differences FAQ

How many lives do I get per level?
Three. Each wrong click costs a life, and running out means retrying the level from the start.
What if I get stuck on a difference?
Tap the hint button for a nudge toward one of the remaining differences, or use the zoom control to look more closely at part of the image.
Can I play Spot the Differences on my phone?
Yes. It works with touch controls on phone and tablet as well as mouse controls on desktop.
Who made Spot the Differences?
It's developed by Rabbit Mountain, the studio behind other Poki games like Aqua Thrills and Roller Coaster Builder 2.
