About Solitaire

This is a classic card-game collection built around the two most-played solitaire variants: Klondike and Spider. If you've played solitaire on a Windows PC or a phone before, you already know the rules — deal a tableau, sort cards down by alternating color, and clear the deck one careful move at a time.

The Klondike mode lets you pick your own difficulty by switching between Draw 1 (turn over one card from the stock at a time, easier to plan around) and Draw 3 (turn over three at once, tougher but faster). Spider mode swaps the setup for two tableau rows and the goal of building full same-suit runs from King to Ace. Either way, a session is a few quiet minutes of pattern-spotting rather than a race against anyone else.

Controls

Everything is mouse and touch driven — no keyboard needed. Click or tap a card and drag it onto a matching foundation or tableau pile, or double-click a card to send it straight to its foundation pile if a valid spot is open.

Tips

  • Turn over hidden tableau cards as early as possible — a face-down card you can't see is a card you can't plan around.
  • Start on Klondike Draw 1 if you're new to the deal; Draw 3 is a real difficulty jump, not just a speed setting.
  • Empty tableau columns are valuable — save them for Kings rather than filling them with the first card you can move.
  • Use Undo to walk back a move you regret and Hint if you get stuck, rather than restarting the whole deal.

There's also a New Game button, a running timer, an Autofinish option for once the board is unlocked, and settings for card deck design, table background and left- or right-handed layout — small touches for anyone who plays a lot of hands back to back.

Solitaire FAQ

What's the difference between Draw 1 and Draw 3 in Klondike?
Draw 1 turns over one stock card at a time, so you can plan around every card you see. Draw 3 turns over three at once and only lets you play the top one, which makes the game noticeably harder.
What is Spider mode?
Spider is a separate solitaire variant built into the same game. Instead of foundations by suit, you build descending same-suit runs from King down to Ace directly within the tableau columns.
Can I undo a move or get a hint?
Yes, both are built in. An Undo button reverses your last move, and a Hint button suggests a legal move when you're stuck.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes, cards are played with tap-and-drag or double-tap to send a card to its foundation, so it works with touch the same way it does with a mouse.
