About Sink It

Sink It is a two-boat artillery duel: you and an opponent take turns firing a cannon, and the only way to win is to put their boat under the water before they do the same to you. There's no health bar to whittle down — a shot that lands close enough rocks the target with a wave, and enough waves flood the hull and sink it outright, so a single well-placed hit can end a round in seconds.

The twist that keeps it from being a simple aiming contest is that every shot, hit or miss, kicks up water. Cannonballs that splash near your own boat push waves back at you, so firing wildly to find the range can swamp yourself before you even hit anything. Falling crates drop into the arena too, and grabbing one can hand you a power-up like a freeze effect to throw off your opponent's next shot.

Controls

  • Single player vs. the computer: press Spacebar to fire your cannon
  • Two players on one keyboard: Spacebar fires for player one, Enter fires for player two
  • Mobile and tablet: tap the screen to fire

Tips

  • Watch the waves your own shots create — a shot that lands too close to your boat can rock you right when you need to line up the next one
  • Small adjustments beat big swings; the wave-based knockback means overcorrecting after a miss usually costs you more than the miss itself
  • Grab falling power-up crates when they're on your side of the arena rather than chasing ones near the opponent's boat

It's a quick game to pick up with a friend on the same keyboard, or a short round or two solo against the computer between games.

Sink It FAQ

How do you fire the cannon in Sink It?
Press Spacebar to fire on desktop. In two-player mode, the second player fires with Enter. On mobile or tablet, tap the screen instead.
Can you play Sink It with a friend?
Yes, there's a two-player mode where both players share the same keyboard, one firing with Spacebar and the other with Enter.
Why do my own shots sometimes hurt me?
Every cannonball that lands, including your misses, creates a wave. If it splashes close to your own boat it rocks you, so wild shots can put you in danger too.
Does Sink It work on phones?
Yes, it's playable on mobile and tablet with tap controls in place of the keyboard.
