About Shotdogs

Shotdogs turns the old trick of skipping a stone across water into a game about throwing your own gun instead. You launch it out over open water toward a chain of islands, click once at the right moment, and watch it bounce, ricochet, and skid its way as far as it'll go.

Each throw is a single timed click — hold too long or click too early and the gun drops short. Land it well and helpers along the way, seagulls, bouncy slimes, hot air balloons, will bat it further toward the next island. Between throws you visit an upgrade-dog vendor to spend your progress on more throw strength, less recoil, or extra bullets for the run.

Controls

  • Click the left mouse button at the right moment to launch and re-launch your gun

Tips

  • Watch for the timing window rather than clicking on reflex — a clean, well-timed click beats a fast one
  • Line yourself up with helpers like seagulls and slimes before you throw; hitting them adds real distance
  • Spend early upgrades on throw strength if you're getting stuck reaching the next island at all

It's a short-session arcade game built around one clean input, with ten islands worth of distance to chase.
