Rockitty is a floaty, gravity-driven puzzle game by Nitrome, originally released as a Flash title in 2009 and now playable in the browser as an HTML5 conversion. You steer a small rocket ship that never really stops moving on its own terms: click a spot on the screen and the ship fires off toward it, then coasts, drifts, and gets pulled around by the gravity of nearby planets until it either crashes, drifts off the level, or finally reaches the parked shuttle that marks the exit.
The appeal is in reading the gravity before you commit. Every planet bends your flight path, so a level that looks like empty space is really a web of curves you have to plan a shot through, often while scooping up scattered bonuses along the way. It plays slow and thoughtful rather than twitchy, but a badly aimed click can still send you spiraling into a planet or off the edge of the level, so precision matters even without a timer pressuring you.
Controls
Mouse only: move the cursor to aim, then click to launch the ship in that direction. It coasts and curves under each planet's gravity until you click again to fire a new direction.
Tips
- Watch how the ship's path bends near a planet before you click again — small early corrections beat a big last-second one.
- Let gravity do the work: a planet can slingshot you toward a bonus or the exit shuttle without needing a hard, direct shot.
- If a level has bonus items scattered around, plan a route that swings past them on the way to the shuttle instead of exiting early.
Rockitty suits players who like a slower, puzzle-like challenge over fast reflexes — pick it up for a few quiet, physics-driven levels at a time.
