About No Pain No Gain

No Pain No Gain is a physics puzzle game built entirely around one ragdoll and how much abuse you can put it through. Each level gives you a floppy character stuck at a start point and a target somewhere else on the map, and it's your job to build a path between the two.

You never control the ragdoll directly. Instead you drag obstacles onto the course and arrange them until you're happy with the layout, then let physics take over and watch the run play out. Some levels want a clean trip from start to finish; others are really about racking up as much damage and chaos as possible along the way. Either outcome makes for a satisfying few seconds once the run starts.

Controls

Mouse only: click and drag obstacles from the selection onto the course, position them, then start the run and watch what happens.

Tips

  • If a run almost works, nudge an obstacle's position slightly rather than tearing the whole layout down and starting over.
  • On levels scored by damage rather than a clean finish, look for setups that bounce the ragdoll into several hazards instead of just one.

It's a quick pick-up-and-play game: fast to set up a run, fast to see it pay off or fall apart, and easy to jump straight into another attempt.
