Monster Max is a merge tower-defense game. You spend coins to drop turrets onto the field, and when two matching turrets land next to each you can merge them into a single higher-tier turret with more damage and range. Waves of monsters march in on their own path, and your turrets fire automatically, so the actual decisions are all about which turret to buy next and when to merge instead of expand.
Turrets carry different elemental effects — poison, burn, ice and lightning among them — so a field that mixes types covers a wave better than one built around a single effect stacked over and over. Turrets also gain XP and rank up through repeated merges, and progress carries you through a run of levels and worlds that end in tougher boss waves.
Controls
Click or tap to buy and place a turret, then click or tap two matching turrets to merge them into a stronger one. It works the same way with mouse or touch.
Tips
- Merge turrets as soon as you get a matching pair rather than saving them — one higher-tier turret on the field outdamages two low-tier ones taking up the same space.
- Keep a mix of elemental types on the field instead of duplicating one effect; a wave that resists poison won't resist ice as well.
- Hold a few coins in reserve when you're one merge away from a stronger tier rather than spending everything on a fresh low-tier turret.
It suits players who like idle and merge-strategy games — set up a field, watch the auto-battles play out, and adjust between waves.
