Karakuri is a grid-based puzzle game developed by Okashi Games that tests your spatial planning and logic. Played on an 8x8 board, the goal is to place various geometric block shapes and group five or more matching colors together. When a group of matching blocks clusters together, they clear from the board, preventing the grid from filling up and keeping your game alive.
As you clear blocks, you earn Okashi Coins, the game's sweet-themed currency. These coins can be saved and spent on power-ups to help clean up the board when space gets tight. Because the game has no timer, you can take your time to calculate each placement, anticipating the upcoming blocks shown on the side and managing your board space efficiently.
Controls
- Drag and Drop: Click and hold (or tap and hold on mobile) a block shape from the side panel, drag it onto the board, and release to place it.
Special Power-ups
- Hori & Vert: Destroy an entire row or column to instantly free up space.
- Bomba: Clear a 2x2 area of blocks around your target.
- Thunder: Instantly wipe out all blocks of the most dominant color on the board.
- Links: Trigger a chain reaction to clear connected blocks of the same type.
