About Hobo

Hobo is a 2008 beat-'em-up in which a homeless man, roused from an afternoon nap by an overzealous cop, decides the whole city has it coming. You march through dumps, streets and a truck yard, dropping anyone who gets in the way — cops, pedestrians, and eventually a boss at the end of the chase.

There's no story to follow beyond that setup and no menu of upgrades to manage; it's pure scrolling-brawler momentum. Health drains as enemies land hits, so the run becomes a matter of thinning out crowds before they thin out you, using whatever the street hands you along the way.

Controls

  • Arrow keys — move Hobo around the screen
  • Double-tap left or right — break into a run
  • A — punch, and pick up nearby objects
  • S — kick

Tips

  • Pick up whatever enemies drop or whatever's lying around — improvised weapons clear a crowd faster than fists alone.
  • Don't wade into a group head-on; let stragglers separate from the pack and take them one at a time.
  • Keep moving. Standing still to trade punches with multiple attackers burns health fast.

It's a short, mindless brawl best suited to a quick break rather than a long session — pick a fight, work down the street, and see how far Hobo gets.
