Grindcraft strips Minecraft down to just the crafting: no exploring, no building your own world, only a straight climb up the resource ladder from bare hands to obsidian gear. You start by punching a tree for wood, and every tool you craft opens up the next tier of materials to gather, from stone tools that let you mine ore to a bucket that finally lets you scoop up lava.
The whole game runs through four click boxes — overworld, mine, food, and mobs — each one showing whatever you're currently equipped to harvest. Hover over anything in the crafting list before you commit and the game tells you exactly what it costs, so a session is really just alternating between clicking for raw materials and clicking through the recipe tree to see what unlocks next.
Controls
Mouse only. Click in the harvest boxes to gather materials, and click a recipe to craft it once you have the resources for it.
Tips
- Rush a wooden axe and spade first — they open up faster wood and stone gathering and pay for themselves almost immediately.
- Hover over locked recipes before you grind for a specific resource; some items you're farming might not even be needed for anything yet.
- Certain materials, like lava, won't appear in a click box until you've crafted the tool that can collect them (a bucket, in that case) — a resource "not showing up" usually means you're missing the right gear, not bad luck.
- Once you've gathered enough to build a village, put villagers to work there — they keep collecting resources in the background so you're not clicking for every last unit yourself.
It suits idle-game and Minecraft fans who want the crafting-tree satisfaction without the building or survival side — a game you can dip in and out of while the numbers climb.
