Gem 11 is a numbered-merge puzzle played on a small grid: every tile is a gem stamped with a number, and dragging one onto a matching neighbor fuses them into the next number up. The board keeps feeding in fresh low-value gems from a preview slot, so the real game is spatial planning — where to park incoming pieces so a merge chain stays open instead of the grid filling up around you.
There's no timer and no lives bar pressuring each move; the pressure comes purely from the shrinking empty space. A session can last two minutes or twenty depending on how far you let a chain run before the board locks up, which makes it an easy game to pick up for a short break and just as easy to keep pushing for a higher top gem.
Controls
- Mouse (or touch on phone/tablet): click and drag a gem onto a matching one to merge them.
Tips
- Check the small number shown above the empty slot before you move — it tells you exactly what gem is coming next, so plan the merge around it instead of reacting after it lands.
- Keep one open lane for as long as possible. A single free row or column is what lets you cascade several merges in a row instead of getting stuck one tile short.
- Save the shuffle and wild power-ups for when the board is nearly full rather than using them early — they're most valuable when they turn an otherwise-lost board back into a chain.
- Upgrading all of your lowest-value gems at once can clear clutter fast, but only do it when several of them are already sitting next to each so the upgrade itself creates a merge.
It's a good fit for anyone who likes the "just one more round" pull of a 2048-style number game but wants the freer, drag-anywhere layout of a match puzzle instead of fixed grid swipes.
