Free The Key is a sliding-block puzzle dressed up as a temple escape. A key sits trapped behind a grid of wooden blocks, and your only tool is your mouse: click and drag blocks out of the way to clear a path to the exit. Nothing about it is timed or twitchy — it's pure spatial thinking.
The catch is that blocks interlock, so nudging one often shifts two or three others with it. Every layout is solvable, but the obvious first move rarely is the right one. There are 40 levels that ramp up steadily, and you can always replay a level if you want to solve it in fewer moves than last time.
Controls
- Mouse — click and drag a block to slide it
- Touch — tap and slide on mobile or tablet
Tips
- Look for the block directly blocking the key's path first, then work backward to see what needs to move before it can.
- A move that shifts three blocks at once is usually the key move on harder levels, not a side effect to avoid.
- Replay a level once you've solved it if you want to beat it in fewer moves — the puzzle doesn't change, just your route through it.
