About Dune Surfer

Dune Surfer is a fast-paced physics arcade game where momentum is your best friend and worst enemy. You control a surfer sliding across an endless, rolling desert landscape. The goal is to build up as much speed as possible to soar high above the sand and achieve a massive score.

The core loop is simple to understand but difficult to master. By holding down your mouse or finger, you dive into the sand dunes, gaining acceleration on downward slopes. The trick is to release your tap just as you hit the upward incline, launching yourself into the air. Misjudge the curve, and you will slam into the side of a dune, instantly losing all your hard-earned speed.

Controls

  • Hold Left Click / Tap: Dive down and accelerate.
  • Release: Fly into the air.

Tips

  • Nail the landing: The most crucial part of a high score run is landing cleanly on a downward slope. If you land on a flat or upward curve, your momentum will die.
  • Stay low to build speed: You do not always need to go for maximum height right away. Doing a series of shallow, quick jumps across small dunes is often the safest way to build your multiplier.
