Duck Pond Mahjong Game

Duck Pond Mahjong is a mahjong solitaire game built around a calm pond theme — the tiles are ducks, flowers, acorns and eggs instead of the usual bamboo and dragon symbols. The goal on every layout is to clear the whole board by matching identical tiles in pairs.

The catch is the standard mahjong solitaire rule: only tiles with a free side, not boxed in by neighbors on both the left and right, can be picked. That means clearing a board is really a planning problem — take the wrong pair too early and you can wall off tiles you need later. There are 24 layouts in rotation, so a cleared board just leads into a new arrangement rather than an ending.

Controls

Mouse only — click one open tile, then click its matching pair to remove both from the board.

Tips

• Scan the edges of the layout first; tiles buried in the middle usually can't be touched until outer pairs are cleared.
• Before taking a pair, check whether removing it frees up more tiles than it blocks off.
• If you get stuck with no valid pairs left, restarting the layout is faster than hunting for a move that isn't there.
