Apple Shooter puts a bow in your hands and a nervous volunteer in front of you, an apple balanced on top of their head. It's the William Tell legend turned into a browser game: line up the shot, account for gravity, and put the arrow through the apple instead of your target's skull. Each successful hit sends your friend a few steps further back, so the same shot that worked at close range needs a completely different touch once the gap has grown.
There's no story beyond that single dare, and the game doesn't need one. Every round is the same tense few seconds: draw the bow, watch the arc, let go, and find out immediately whether you judged the distance and drop correctly. A near miss that still clips the apple is a clean pass; a shot that hits your friend instead is a graphic, deliberately over-the-top failure that ends the run. That risk is most of what makes these short sessions addictive.
Controls
- Mouse movement — aim the bow by adjusting the angle up or down.
- Hold left click — draw the bowstring and build shot power.
- Release click — fire the arrow.
Tips
- Arrows drop as they travel, so aim above the apple at longer distances rather than straight at it.
- Match the draw to the distance — over-drawing on a close shot overshoots just as easily as under-drawing on a far one costs you the round.
- There's no clock between shots, so take the extra half-second to settle your aim before releasing. Rushing is the most common way to end a good run.
Apple Shooter suits anyone who wants a short, skill-based challenge to drop into for a couple of minutes — nothing to install, no save file to manage, and no single round long enough to feel like a commitment.
