American Football Challenge puts you in the receiver's gloves, not the quarterback's hands. Your job across ten short levels is simple to describe and hard to master: track the incoming football and get your gloves under it before it hits the ground.
Each level sets a target number of catches and a limited number of throws to hit it. Miss too many and the level ends early; string together clean catches and the game rewards you with escalating on-screen praise — a plain "Good!" for an ordinary grab, up to "Excellent!!!" for a catch made right in the sweet spot of your gloves. Later levels throw the ball harder and with more sideways drift, so the read gets tighter every round.
Controls
Move the mouse left and right to slide your gloves under the ball on desktop, or slide a finger across the screen on touch devices. There's no keyboard input — positioning is everything.
Tips
- Watch the drop, not the launch. The ball's trajectory curves as it falls, so committing to a side too early can leave you chasing a last-second drift.
- Center your gloves for the bonus. Catching the ball dead-center rather than at the edge of your reach triggers the higher-tier "Great" and "Excellent" catches, which count toward the win condition faster.
- Budget your misses early. Since each level allows only a set number of throws, a drop on throw one costs the same as a drop on the last — don't panic and chase a ball you've already lost.
It plays in short bursts — a level rarely takes more than a minute — which makes it a good fit for a quick reflex break rather than a long session.
