Word Chains is a brain puzzle built around grouping, not typing. Cards scattered across the board carry words from a handful of categories, and your job is to link matching ones into a single chain before the board runs out of room. The catch is movement: cards can't pass through each , so a card you want two moves from now might already be boxed in by the time you get to it.
That makes each round more of a sliding-puzzle problem than a vocabulary test. You're constantly reading the board a few moves ahead, deciding which chain to extend first so you don't trap a card you still need. When a path closes off completely, a power-up can clear the jam, but the game only hands you a few, so most of a session is spent avoiding the need for one.
Controls
Everything runs on clicks (or taps on a phone or tablet). Click a card to pick it up, then click a matching card to group it, or click empty space to move it into an open spot.
Who it suits
A good pick for anyone who likes short, low-pressure logic puzzles - the kind you can play a round of on a break without needing to remember rules from last time.
