Water Color Sort turns the simple act of organizing liquids into a satisfying, surprisingly deep puzzle experience. You are presented with several glass tubes filled with stacked layers of colored water, and your goal is to pour them back and forth until every tube holds just a single solid color.
The early levels feel almost effortless, letting you get a feel for the pouring mechanics. But as more colors and tubes are introduced, every move requires careful planning to ensure you don't trap the colors you need at the bottom of a stack. It is a slow-paced, methodical game that rewards thinking several steps ahead.
Controls
Everything is handled with simple taps or clicks. First, tap the tube you want to pour from to lift it slightly. Then, tap the destination tube to pour the top layer of water. You can only pour a color onto a matching color, or into a completely empty tube.
Tips
- Target an empty tube: Try to clear out one tube completely as early as possible. Having an extra empty tube makes it much easier to shuffle colors around.
- Look for matching tops: Prioritize moving colors between tubes that already have the same top color to consolidate them and free up space beneath.
- Don't rush: There is no time limit, so take a moment to trace where a color will end up before committing to a pour.
With its gentle difficulty curve and lack of time pressure, Water Color Sort is an excellent way to unwind while still giving your logic skills a light workout.
