Trains.io 3D drops you into a snake-style battle royale rendered in a low-poly 3D world, except instead of a snake you're piloting a train that gets longer with every screw, bolt and toolbox it picks up. The longer your train, the more dangerous you are to everyone else on the map - and the bigger a target you become, since one careless turn into another train's path ends your run instantly.
There's no separate attack button: elimination happens by forcing opponents to crash into you, the same way it happens to you if you cut across someone else's path. That makes positioning the entire game - staying near the edges of the crowd while you're small, then cutting off shorter trains once you have enough length to gamble with. Coins collected along the way can go toward customizing your train or getting back in after a loss, so a bad run doesn't mean starting completely from zero.
Controls
Steer with the mouse (or your finger on a touchscreen) - your train follows the pointer automatically. Press and hold to speed up when you need a burst to cut off a rival or escape a tight spot.
Tips
- Hug the outer areas early. Long trains cluster near the middle of the map where the pickings are richer but so is the traffic; a shorter train survives longer on the fringes.
- Don't sprint constantly. Speeding up is useful for a close call, not for general travel - it's easier to steer into your own tail or a wall at higher speed.
- Use your length as a wall. Once you're long enough, curling in front of a smaller train's path is a safer kill than chasing it head-on.
It's a quick-session game built around risk versus greed - good for players who like the tension of .io survival games and don't mind restarting after one bad turn.
