About Toxic

Toxic is a Nitrome platform-action game where you're dropped into a robotic factory in a yellow hazard suit with one job: blast your way to the exit. Instead of jumping over obstacles, you plant explosives against the stone walls around you, blowing new paths through the factory while avoiding whatever the machinery throws at you.

Each level is really a small demolition puzzle wrapped in a platformer — you have to work out which walls to break and in what order to clear a route to the teleporter without getting caught in your own blast or cornered by hazards. It rewards a bit of planning over pure reflexes, though there's still plenty of dodging along the way.

Tips

  • Look at the layout before setting anything off — plan the route to the teleporter first, then work out which walls actually need to go.
  • Give your own explosives room to go off; standing too close to a wall you just planted is an easy way to lose a run.
  • Save charges for walls that are actually blocking your path rather than clearing every breakable surface on sight.

It's a desktop game built for short, puzzle-flavored platforming sessions rather than long play, and suits anyone who likes their platformers with a bit of demolition strategy mixed in.
