About Tower Of Druaga

Mini The Tower of Druaga is an officially licensed Bandai Namco browser reimagining of the 1984 arcade classic, rebuilt around much simpler controls than the original cabinet ever had. You still play as the knight Gil, climbing a tower floor by floor with the same end goal as the arcade game: reach the top and save the Maiden Ki.

There are two ways to play. Adventure mode is the story climb — each cleared floor shows a "floor completed" screen before dropping you into the next one, working toward that final rescue. Survival mode drops the story and turns the tower into a straight time-and-score challenge, tracking your best run instead of your floor number. Movement is grid-based and automatic in a lot of the small stuff: walk into an enemy or a breakable wall and Gil deals with it on contact, so the tension is mostly about picking a safe path rather than timing an attack button.

Controls

  • Arrow keys – the only input; hold a direction to move Gil, walls and enemies are handled automatically on contact

Tips

  • Grab shield pickups when you see them — they block incoming hits for a short stretch, so it's worth a small detour to collect one before a crowded floor.
  • In Adventure mode, clear floors calmly rather than rushing; since bumping enemies is automatic, walking into a group at once costs more than approaching from one side.
  • Play Survival once you know the enemy patterns from Adventure — going in cold usually ends the run early.

It's a quick, browser-only take on a very old idea — no install, no arcade quarters, just the tower and two short game modes to pick from.

Tower Of Druaga FAQ

What are the controls in Mini The Tower of Druaga?
Arrow keys are the only input. Hold a direction to move Gil through each floor; contact with enemies and breakable walls is handled automatically, there's no separate attack button.
What's the difference between Adventure and Survival mode?
Adventure mode is the story climb toward rescuing the Maiden Ki, showing a floor-completed screen after each floor. Survival mode drops the story and is a straight time-and-score challenge instead.
Is this the same as the original 1984 arcade game?
No. It's an officially licensed Bandai Namco browser reimagining with simplified, automatic contact-based combat rather than a full port of the original 60-floor arcade cabinet.
Do I need to install anything to play?
No, it runs directly in the browser with no download required.
