About Temple Run 2: Spooky Summit

Temple Run 2 is the sequel to the endless runner that made swipe-to-turn a genre of its own. You're an explorer who has just grabbed a cursed idol, and a giant demon monkey is right behind you on a crumbling cliffside path — the run only ends when you miss a turn, misjudge a gap, or run straight off the edge.

The path branches constantly: forks send you left or right, gaps need a jump, low beams need a slide, and mine carts, fire traps and collapsing bridges show up with barely a warning. Coins scattered along the way buy power-ups and unlock new playable characters, and the game keeps pushing your speed up the longer you survive, so a run that starts as a jog is a sprint by the two-minute mark.

Controls

  • Left / Right arrow keys (or swipe left/right on touch) — turn at a fork
  • Up arrow (or swipe up) — jump
  • Down arrow (or swipe down) — slide
  • Left/right movement also shifts you sideways within a lane to grab coins or dodge obstacles

Tips

  • React to the path, not the monkey — staring at the chase behind you is how most runs actually end.
  • Grab a Coin Magnet or Boost power-up before a straightaway, not right as you're about to hit an obstacle.
  • Objects (Coin Magnet, Boost, Invisibility, Head Start) can be leveled up with coins between runs — upgrading the ones you use most stretches your runs further than chasing a new character.
  • Missing a turn is usually more forgiving than misjudging a jump or slide — when in doubt on a blind corner, favor the safer of the two.

It's a pick-up-and-play game built for short bursts: a couple of runs while waiting for something else, or a longer session chasing a personal best.
