Temple Run 2 is the sequel to Imangi Studios' original one-tap endless runner, and this browser build drops you straight onto its jungle route — sprinting down crumbling temple paths with a demon monkey close behind. There's no ending to reach; the goal is simply to outlast your last run and climb the leaderboard.
The path branches constantly. Mine carts, rope bridges, ziplines and tight forest ledges peel off in different directions, and a missed swipe usually means getting caught. Coins collected along the way buy permanent upgrades and one-off power-ups, so every run tests your reflexes while slowly making the next attempt a little easier.
Controls
- Swipe up (or Arrow Up / W): jump over logs, gaps and low walls.
- Swipe down (or Arrow Down / S): slide under branches and barriers.
- Swipe left or right (or the Left/Right arrows, or A/D): turn at forks and shift between coin lanes.
Tips
- Turns come up fast — listen for the audio cue as much as you watch the screen, it usually gives you a beat more warning than the visuals alone.
- Buy the coin magnet upgrade first. It pays for itself within a run or two and takes the pressure off precise lane switching.
- Save a shield or head-start power-up for a run where you're actually chasing a personal best, rather than spending it the moment it's unlocked.
- Getting caught doesn't have to end the run — a banked revive keeps your distance going instead of sending you straight to the score screen.
It's built for short bursts: a couple of minutes chasing a new high score rather than a long sit-down session.
