As you cruise down the highway, you can rack up points by drifting, catching airtime, and performing risky near-miss maneuvers next to cars and walls. Collecting golden bits along the road allows you to customize your tanuki’s gear and board, adding a nice touch of personal progression to your endless high-score chasing runs.

How to Play

You can control your longboarding raccoon using either a keyboard or a controller. Here are the default keyboard mappings for the web version:

• A / D or Left / Right Arrows: Steer left and right.
• W (Hold): Tweak speed stance (crouch to go faster down straight sections).
• Spacebar: Drift (hold while steering to power-slide through corners).
• S: 180 Slide (perform a quick spin to change direction or show off).
• Escape / P: Pause the game.

Longboarding Tips

• Drift Early: Don't wait until the last second to initiate a drift. Tap or hold the drift key slightly before entering a sharp corner to set up a clean, controlled power-slide.
• Hunt for Near-Misses: Skimming closely past traffic and roadside barriers rewards you with near-miss points. Take calculated risks to boost your score multiplier.
• Prioritize Survival Over Bits: Golden bits are scattered everywhere, sometimes in highly dangerous spots. It is always better to stay on the road than to crash while reaching for a single coin.
• Scrub Off Speed: If you find yourself carrying too much momentum into an upcoming S-curve, hold the drift key a bit longer to scrub off excess speed and maintain steering control.
