TAG is a local multiplayer chase game built for one screen and several people at the same keyboard — it needs at least two players to work at all, so it's not something to load up solo. One player starts as "it," marked by an arrow floating over their head, and has to catch someone else before the round timer runs out.
The moment a tag lands, roles flip instantly and the chase reverses direction. Rounds are short and momentum-driven: bounce pads fling you across the map for a burst of speed, teleporters let you jump to another spot to close a gap or escape one, and whoever is still "it" when the clock hits zero loses the round.
Controls
Each player gets their own keys on the same keyboard:
- Player 1: W / A / D
- Player 2: Arrow Up / Left / Right
- Player 3: J / I / L
- Player 4: F / T / H
Tips
- Keep an eye on the arrow above whoever's "it." With four characters bunched together it's easy to lose track of who's actually chasing.
- Use bounce pads offensively when you're it to close distance fast, and defensively when you're not to put space between you and the chaser.
- Start with a shorter round length if it's everyone's first game — a 60-second round is plenty to learn the maps.
