Sugar, Sugar 2 is a physics puzzle from Bart Bonte, and the setup barely changes from the original: a stream of sugar falls from the top of the screen, and you draw lines with the mouse to steer it into cups waiting below. Every grain has to land, so a puzzle isn't solved until every cup on screen is full.
What makes the sequel harder is color. Cups only accept sugar of a matching shade, and the stream often needs to be split, redirected through color filters, or timed around gravity switches and teleporters before it lands in the right place. A level that looks solvable in one glance usually needs two or three lines working together, not one lucky swipe.
Controls
- Left-click and drag with the mouse to draw a line
- Release to set the line in place; sugar bounces and rolls off it like a physical ramp
- Click an existing line to erase it and redraw
Tips
- Watch the color filters before you draw anything — sugar changes color the moment it passes through one, and a line placed too early sends the wrong color into a cup
- Short, overlapping lines hold sugar longer than one long diagonal, which helps when a cup needs to fill slowly instead of all at once
- If a puzzle uses a gravity switch, wait for it to flip before committing your line — drawing around the old gravity direction wastes the grain
There are 30 levels building up to a freeplay mode once you clear them, so it suits both a quick five-minute puzzle and a longer session for anyone who wants to keep experimenting after the main levels are done. It runs entirely in the browser, nothing to install.
