Subway Runner throws you onto a set of active train tracks with an angry inspector and his dog right on your heels. You have to keep moving forward, weaving between the three lanes to dodge stationary barriers, low barricades, and oncoming trains. The pace steadily increases the longer you survive, turning a casual jog into a frantic test of reflexes where one wrong move ends the run.
Coins and power-ups are scattered along the tracks to collect as you run. Grabbing items like the jetpack or coin magnet gives you a temporary advantage, letting you scoop up more coins without worrying about crashing. You can use these collected coins between runs to unlock new characters or upgrade the duration of your power-ups.
Controls
- Swipe Left / Right: Switch lanes
- Swipe Up: Jump over obstacles
- Swipe Down: Roll under barriers
- Double Tap: Activate your hoverboard
Tips
- Activate your hoverboard to survive: Double-tapping brings out your hoverboard, which acts as an extra life. If you crash while riding it, the board breaks but you keep running. Save this for when the game gets incredibly fast.
- Stay on top of trains: Whenever possible, use ramps to get on top of the moving trains. It is much safer up there, and you get a better view of the obstacles coming up ahead.
- Don't risk everything for a coin: It is easy to crash while trying to grab a single coin near an obstacle. Focus on survival and taking the safest path.
