About Stack

Stack is a minimalist arcade game where precision and timing are everything. You start with a moving block sliding back and forth over a base. Your goal is to drop it exactly on top of the tower. Any part of the block that overhangs is sliced away, leaving you with a smaller target for your next move. As the tower grows higher, the margin for error gets thinner.

The loop is incredibly simple but immediately engaging. When you nail a perfect drop, you are rewarded with a satisfying musical chime, and stringing enough perfects together will actually expand your block back up to its original size. It becomes a hypnotic test of rhythm, right up until a slightly late tap sends your tiny remaining sliver tumbling down.

Controls

  • Mouse or Touch: Click or tap anywhere on the screen to drop the moving block.

Tips

  • Find a rhythm: The block moves at a consistent speed, so it helps to tap to a steady beat rather than just reacting visually.
  • Recovering is possible: If you slice off a large chunk early, don't give up. Focus on landing consecutive perfect drops to slowly rebuild the block's size.
  • Look slightly ahead: Try focusing your eyes on where the block needs to land instead of tracking the block itself as it sweeps across the screen.

Stack FAQ

How do you make the block bigger in Stack?
If you manage to perfectly align several blocks in a row without slicing off any edges, the block will gradually increase in size as a reward.
Can I play Stack on mobile?
Yes, Stack is fully playable in a mobile browser. You can simply tap the screen to drop the blocks.
What happens if I miss the tower completely?
If you tap too early or too late and the block fails to land on the tower at all, your run ends immediately and you will have to restart.
