About Snow Tale

Snow Tale drops a round little snow creature into a mountain world of wide dirt platforms and snow-capped peaks. Each stretch reads simply at a glance -- walk and jump across the terrain, grab the purple crystals and coins along the way, and get to the next checkpoint before your hearts run out.

Underneath the pastel art is a fuller platforming toolkit than the genre usually bothers with: a double jump for stretching a leap further than it looks, a quick roll for closing gaps fast, a ground pound for coming down hard, and a shot you can fire at whatever's in the way. Houses scattered through the level can be entered and left, giving runs a bit of a hub-world rhythm instead of a straight sprint to the finish.

Controls

  • Left / Right arrow -- move
  • Up arrow -- jump, press again in the air to double jump
  • Space -- shoot
  • Down arrow -- enter or leave a house
  • Quickly tap Left or Right twice -- roll
  • Jump, then Down -- pound the ground

Tips

  • The double jump is as much a save as a boost -- if a jump looks short, tap Up again before you commit to the landing instead of after.
  • Roll through narrow gaps rather than walking; it moves faster and gets under obstacles a normal jump would clip.
  • Only three hearts show at a time, so it's worth backing off a section that's already cost you one rather than pushing straight through.

It's a light, checkpoint-driven platformer suited to a few short runs rather than one long sitting -- a good pick if you want a snow-themed platformer with more moveset than the usual runner.

Snow Tale FAQ

How does the double jump work in Snow Tale?
Press the jump key once to leave the ground, then press it again while you're in the air to trigger a second jump before you land.
What does rolling do?
Quickly tapping Left or Right twice makes your character roll in that direction, which covers ground faster and lets you slip under obstacles a normal jump wouldn't clear.
Can I go inside the houses in the levels?
Yes -- press Down near a house to step inside, and press Down again to leave it.
Is Snow Tale playable on mobile?
It's built around keyboard controls (arrow keys and space), so it plays best on a desktop or laptop browser.
