About Snake Io

Snake.io drops your snake into a shared arena with a crowd of players, all chasing the same goal: eat enough glowing orbs to become the longest thing on the map. There's no round timer and no levels, just one continuous free-for-all where growth is the only score that matters.

The danger comes from everyone else doing the same thing. Cross another snake's body and your run ends instantly, scattering your length into orbs for the rest of the arena to scoop up. Getting good means reading the crowd, cutting off smaller snakes before they cut you off, and knowing when a burst of speed is worth the length it costs.

Controls

  • Move: mouse, WASD, or the arrow keys
  • Speed boost: hold the left mouse button or spacebar (burns some of your length)

Tips

  • Stay toward the edges of the arena early on, where fewer snakes are competing for the same orbs.
  • Circle around a smaller snake to trap it inside your body and force a collision on your terms.
  • Save your speed boost for closing a kill or escaping a trap — using it constantly just shrinks you.
  • Watch for the crown icon; it marks the current longest snake, which is either your target or the thing to avoid.

It suits quick, replayable sessions more than a long sit-down — a few minutes is enough to grow, get caught, and start again.
