About Snake (Proxy)

Snake is the classic arcade game rebuilt with a few modern twists. You control a snake sliding around a grid, eating food to grow longer while trying not to run into the walls or your own tail — simple to understand, harder to keep alive the longer you get.

This version adds adjustable speeds, several types of snakes to choose from, and bonus items that show up on the grid, plus a leaderboard if you want to see how far you got compared to everyone else. Pick Touch Mode or Button Mode when you start, depending on whether you're playing on a touchscreen or a keyboard.

Controls

  • Move: Up / Down / Left / Right arrow keys (Button Mode)
  • Touch Mode available for touchscreen devices

Tips

  • Slow down before a tight turn — at higher speeds a long snake can clip its own tail on a sharp corner.
  • Grab bonus items when they're on your path, but don't detour far for one if it means crossing back over your own tail.
  • The board gets tighter the longer you are — plan your route a few moves ahead once you're taking up more space.

It's built for quick, replayable rounds — pick a mode and go, playable straight in the browser on desktop, phone, or tablet.
