Snail Bob 6: Winter Story is the holiday entry in Hunter Hamster Studio's long-running Snail Bob series. Bob is looking forward to Christmas when he finds a letter revealing that Mr. Green, a hamster villain in the mold of the Grinch, has kidnapped Santa Snail — who looks an awful lot like Bob's own grandpa. Bob sets out through a string of snowy, gadget-filled levels to rescue him.
Bob crawls forward on his own, so you're never steering him directly. Instead you read each level like a small mechanical puzzle: pull levers, hit switches, rotate platforms and time gaps so that by the time Bob reaches them, the path is safe. Tap Bob himself when you need him to duck into his shell or hold still while a hazard passes, then let him go again.
Controls
- Click / tap Bob: stop him or retreat into his shell.
- Click / tap Bob again: resume moving.
- Click / tap objects: trigger switches, levers and machinery in the level.
- Space: stop or resume movement from the keyboard.
- 1: turn Bob around. 2: change his speed.
Tips
- Look at the whole level before touching anything — most deaths come from triggering a mechanism before you know what it does.
- Each level hides three stars; grabbing all of them usually means backtracking or taking a longer path than the direct route to the exit.
- The shell isn't just for stopping — retracting into it lets Bob shrug off falling hazards and roll down slopes faster than he can crawl.
It's a slow, deliberate puzzle game rather than a reflex one — better suited to a patient, one-level-at-a-time session than a quick action fix.
