Pong Game

This Pong Game is a browser remake of the two-paddle classic, built for one player against the computer rather than a second human. Pick an avatar, type in a name, and you're facing off against an AI-controlled paddle across a plain black court with a ball that only gets harder to track the longer a rally goes.

Matches aren't just first-to-a-number: you need to score at least 3 points and be ahead by 2 to actually win, so a close match can go past 3-3 into extra points before it's decided. Pick Easy, Medium or Hard before you start to set how fast the AI's paddle reacts, and use Pause or Restart at any point if a rally gets away from you.

Controls

Move your paddle with the up and down arrow keys, or drag with touch on a phone or tablet. No input is needed during a rally.

Tips

• Hit the ball with the edge of your paddle instead of dead center - the contact point changes the ball's angle, so an off-center hit is harder for the AI to line up against.
• Since you need to win by 2, don't relax after reaching 3 points if the AI is only one behind - the match keeps going until someone pulls ahead by two.
• Start on Easy or Medium to learn how the ball behaves during a rally before jumping to Hard, where the AI reacts faster and rallies end quickly.

It's a quick, single-player round rather than a deep strategy game, but the win-by-two rule and the paddle-angle spin give it a bit more to think about than a straight ball-bounce clone.
