My Pony My Little Race, from developer Playtouch, is a keep-running racer where you pick a pony and gallop it down a track against a field of rival riders. The goal each run is simple: stay ahead, get through the obstacles clean, and cross the line first.

You don't steer sideways so much as manage your pony's rhythm — build up speed on the open stretches, then time a jump the instant a hurdle appears. Miss the timing and you stumble, which is usually enough for the pack to close the gap. Races are short, so a race you lose is a race you can restart almost immediately.

Controls

Right arrow (tapped repeatedly) to build up your pony's speed, and Up arrow to jump over hurdles.

Tips

• Tap the speed key in a steady rhythm rather than mashing it — a consistent pace is easier to jump out of than an erratic one.
• Start your jump slightly before you reach a hurdle rather than right on top of it; the jump has a brief windup.
• Pick a pony and stick with it for a race or two so you get a feel for its timing before switching.
