Mk48.io drops you into a real-time multiplayer naval combat arena where every blip on the water is a live player. You start with a small starter boat, and every crate you scoop up from the sea pushes you toward the next tier of hull — destroyers, cruisers, submarines, aircraft carriers, icebreakers — each with its own speed, armor and weapon loadout. Sink ships, dodge torpedoes and shells, and the level you reach determines how dangerous a target you are on the map.
What separates it from a typical .io shooter is how differently each ship class plays. Submarines can dive to dodge surface fire but lose radar while submerged, aircraft carriers launch planes instead of fighting directly, and icebreakers can push through arctic terrain that stops everything else. Sensor type matters too — visual, radar and sonar each reveal different things, so a submarine hiding from your eyes might still show up on sonar. Matches run in open persistent servers, and teaming up with captains into a fleet is an option if you'd rather hunt in numbers.
Controls
- Hold right mouse button and move the mouse to steer
- Left mouse button to fire your active weapon
- Scroll wheel to zoom the camera in and out
Tips
- Collect crates before engaging — a higher level ship survives hits a lower level one can't
- Watch your sensor readout, not just what's on screen; sonar and radar catch threats visual range misses
- Submarines are vulnerable the moment they surface to reload or fire certain weapons — strike then
- Retreat toward friendly fleet members when damaged instead of trying to solo a fight at low health
It suits players who like the slow-burn escalation of an .io game — starting weak, surviving long enough to level up, and eventually commanding something big enough to change the balance of a match.
