Merge Mosaics is a numbers puzzle from Adgard: the board fills with tiles marked 2, 4, 8 and up, and clicking a connected group of three or more matching tiles merges them into the next value. Keep merging up the chain and the goal is to eventually build a tile worth one million.
The twist that separates it from a straight 2048 clone is the wooden tiles that spawn alongside the number tiles. They cannot be merged, and they just sit there eating up board space until you clear them with a bonus, so part of the game is deciding when to spend a limited bonus versus when to keep merging and hope for room.
Controls
Mouse click or tap is all you need — select a matching group to merge it. There are no keyboard controls, and the game works the same way with touch on phones and tablets as it does with a mouse on desktop.
Tips
- Hold onto the hammer and rocket bonuses until wooden tiles have actually boxed you in — the hammer clears seven at once and the rocket clears four, so spending either on a nearly-empty board wastes their reach.
- Watch for the special bonus tile that occasionally drops onto the board; merging it in delivers an extra reward instead of just the next number.
- Some bonuses remove every copy of a specific low number (like all your 2s or 4s) so that value stops spawning — use one when the board is cluttered with small tiles you keep having to work around.
It suits a slower, no-timer session: there's no clock and no fail state pushing you along, just steady merging and the occasional puzzle of clearing space before you run out of room.
