About Merge Master

Merge Master is a dinosaur-themed merge tower-defense game: you buy small units, drag two matching ones together to fuse them into a stronger tier, and place your growing lineup on a split battlefield to fight off waves from the side. The loop is short and repeatable — earn gold from a win, spend it on new units, merge up, fight again — which makes it easy to play for five minutes or fifty.

Your roster mixes melee dinosaurs with ranged human troops. Cheap units are disposable early on, but every merge compounds their stats, so a board of a few high-tier fusions usually beats a board crowded with low-level ones. Positioning also matters once the fight starts automatically: where you park a unit before the round begins is the only control you get once the battle is underway.

Controls

Everything is mouse or touch. Click or tap a purchase button to spawn a base unit, then click-and-drag one unit onto an identical one to merge them into the next tier. Once your board is set, start the round and watch the two sides fight it out automatically.

Tips

  • Don't merge everything on sight. Two mid-tier units holding a line often outlast a single high-tier unit standing alone, so save a merge for when the board actually needs the power spike.
  • Keep ranged units behind melee ones. Human archers do less well up close; a dinosaur or two out front buys them time to deal damage from safety.
  • Spend gold every round. Banking currency instead of buying and merging just falls behind — the difficulty scales with how far you've progressed, not how much gold you're sitting on.

It suits short bursts as much as longer sessions: easy to pick up for a few rounds, with enough merge-planning depth to reward paying attention to your board.

Merge Master FAQ

How do you merge units in Merge Master?
Click and drag one unit onto an identical unit; the pair fuses into a single stronger unit of the next tier.
What are the controls?
The whole game is mouse or touch — click or tap to buy units, then drag to merge them. There's no keyboard involved.
Is it better to merge early or save gold?
Spend it. Buying and merging every round builds a stronger board over time; sitting on gold just means falling behind the difficulty curve.
Can I play Merge Master on mobile?
Yes, the buy and merge controls work the same with touch as they do with a mouse.
