Max and Mink is a two-character puzzle platformer built around a simple trick: you never control just one animal, you control the pair. Max can stretch, bend and glide across gaps, while Mink handles the walking, jumping and climbing. Neither one can reach the exit door alone, so every level is really a small puzzle about which of the two needs to go first, and where the one needs to stand to make that possible.
You can play it solo, swapping between both characters yourself, or hand one animal to a friend on the same keyboard and split the job. Either way the pace stays calm and puzzle-driven rather than twitchy — you are working out a sequence of moves, not racing a clock.
Controls
WASD moves Max. Arrow keys move Mink. Playing solo, you switch between the two with those same key sets; playing with a friend, one of you takes each set.
Tips
- Look at the whole level before moving either character — most puzzles hinge on Max reaching a spot Mink can then use as a step or handhold.
- If you're stuck, try moving the animal you've been ignoring. The solution is often the one you haven't touched yet.
- Playing with a second person on the same keyboard removes the constant switching and makes tight timing puzzles noticeably easier.
It's a short, friendly session either alone or with someone next to you — nothing to install, just two animals and a door to reach.
