Idle Lumber Inc puts you in charge of a small-scale sawmill with the goal of expanding it into a massive timber empire. You start with a basic patch of forest and a single lumberjack, manually tapping to chop wood, process logs, and sell your lumber. As profits roll in, you reinvest the money into upgrading your machinery, purchasing new transport vehicles, and expanding your facilities to handle higher volumes of wood.
The core of the game is about managing supply chains and clearing bottlenecks. You are constantly balancing the speed of your loggers against the capacity of your debarkers, saws, and delivery trucks. Once you hire managers, the factory begins to run itself, allowing you to focus on high-level upgrades, expanding to new forests, and eventually building entirely new factories to multiply your earnings. It is a satisfying incremental game that plays perfectly in a browser with no installation needed.
Controls
- Left Click / Tap: Select menus, upgrade stations, chop wood manually, and interact with the interface.
Tips
- Balance the workflow: Do not just upgrade one machine. If your loggers are producing wood faster than your trucks can transport it, you are wasting potential income. Keep your entire assembly line moving at the same pace.
- Prioritize managers: Hiring managers is crucial for idle progress. Focus on unlocking them early so your factory can continue generating cash while you step away.
- Do not wait to upgrade factories: As soon as you meet the cash and reputation requirements to build the next factory tier, do it. The massive income multiplier is always worth the reset.
